Actually, I think Dana's question is a logical one....which is essentially, "could an overabundance of male hormones affect sexual orientation?" However, what I find bizarre is that the conversation is focussing on non-compliance with Florinef, rather than non-compliance with hydrocortisone (or prednisone or dexamethasone). Florinef has nothing to do with the over-production of male hormones. However, hydrocortisone, prednisone, and dexamethasone do!
Outside Observer I never pin pointed a certain medication. Betsy is the one that mentioned Florineff in the last post. I was referring to the steroids I thought I put that in my post but if I didn't I can see why you were confused. You are right observer I usually would not make a comment like that about
No, Betsy, I am not suggesting that you are non-compliant with your prednisone. However, to support your position that there may be a link between CAH and sexual orientation, I would have expected that your answer would have been, "Yes!" rather than "No!" Not because you are non-compliant now, but because you were non-compliant during a time when you had no choice about it....in the womb!
Observer I was referring to in the womb and just being non-compliant with steroids!
