It was just one of those things that you don't really think about...an infection from a sting???? It came on so quick that taking far more than a triple dose of prednisone (think 10 times the amount!) didn't work. The real scary part is that even though I never went to grab a solucortef shot (I was too out of it by the time I realized what was happening and originally was blaming the heat), the doc didn't think it would have helped much as the infection was still hitting me unrelentlessly. They got it quickly under control and now I just have to make sure it stays under control and I don't get ill weaning myself back down to the normal amounts of prednisone I usually take.
