This is a bit late, but...

I never get asked about the med alert I wear.  I tend to wear a bunch of bracelets on that wrist most of the time anyways as the person I am seeing does beading and she makes me all sorts of nice things and bracelets so maybe it is unnoticed but even before then when it was riding solo, I never was asked either.  There's been a couple of times that people I know quite well from work have hesitantly asked but almost always they have one too for their own medical condition and it's always a very hesitant "you don't need to tell me if you don't want to" question. Even then I simply tell them I have a metabolic condition that can cause me to lose salt and that's the end of the question/conversation.  Most of them know what I do with BLO and sometimes they make the connection but more often don't.

Maybe it's because I got a nice one but it is obviously a medic alert if you look closely...dunno.
