I'd like to be a nurse and medicine is interesting but the trauma from the child/teen genital exams/ student teaching tool always makes me not take that pathway. I still can describe in detail the dialation w/ the man in the yellow blue poka dot tie- the room was a pale yellow also.
I was at an ER recently and the med resident that I allowed in good faith to examine me was rather entertained by the CAH. Him and the other doctors while in ear shot showed their amusement by talking about male and female- the student blerts out that maybe he was a girl and the two other doctors giggle lets investigate! this all happened right after I told him all about CAH and he had asked me about any surgeries ever. And another time a nurse goes as I was being wheeled in for the cat scan- check to see if she is male or female - the tech that was helping me then gave her a look.
