re: This is not normal
Feb. 3rd, 2006   9:37pm
sorry I don't get why he can't play with other kids. My husband has SWCAH that was not diagnosed till he was 30 and no they have no idea how he survived all those years without medication. He had all the normal childhood stuff which in our day included chicken pox and mumps and measles. His mother insist he was never sick and since they had no idea anything was wrong he was allowed to do everything. He was active at school in church and boy scouting He even survived splitting his head open when sled riding as a teenager, he spent two days in intesive care and they never caught the CAH.Yes you should fight for his SSI but don't make matters worse than they are.If you don't treat him as "not normal" how will he ever know he is "not normal". The only thing not normal about my husband is he is short!!!!!
Cindy
