I've been trying to figure out if I had any kind of surgery when I was little ... I know I had a cystoscopy when I was seven because my urethra was too small - under general anesthesia and I was hospitalized for two or three days ... I wasn't in great pain, just stinging. I don't look completely normal, but almost ... my vagina is kind of small ( I could never deliver a child) and my uterus tipped, but no one has ever discussed this with me... is there a website with pictures? I'll try to look without fainting .... The hospital was in Orange County, CA, I believe.
My urethra is right next to my vaginal opening, and I developed interstitial cystitis, which I got relief from when I started on tricyclic antidepresents. Sex was okay (when I had it, 20 years ago.)
I certainly don't believe in any surgery that would reduce sensation. I was diagnosed with an incomplete form of adrenal hyperplasia, and was on prednisone for a few months. I felt better (woke up feeling rested), then moved, and wasn't able to find a doctor who would renew my prescription without tests I couldn't afford. I've been in the hospital a few times with electrolyte imbalances, and have had several tests where my cortisol is 2.6. ???? My androstenedion was 457, testosterone 120, progesterone too low to measure. Does this suggest a certain type of CAH?
