I agree with Shell....thank you AMZ for your articulate and poignant post. Not to fuel the fire, but to add to your list of feeling like a second class citizen, I think it's sadly ironic that you felt you had to put your thoughts down on this--the controversy board (which is a "secondary" board)--vs. the main board (which more people read). In my opinion, there should be nothing controversial about someone asking tough, honest questions!
Personally, I would prefer to expect the worst, and be pleasantly surprised, rather than wear rose-colored glasses and be bitterly disappointed, in the end. Perhaps it's just a different breed of optimism.
