Megan, no one has truly answered your question. Instead they have gone off on tangents about waiting for marriage. I think it is plausible to wait for marriage if you are going to do it young, but realistically most people don't today because of more years of education. You are going to be resentful of the fact if you get married at say 27 and you are a virgin if your partner has not waited for you. Most men can not wait that long, and if they do its not usually because they made that commitment. Although 17 and 19 are close, there is a world of difference between someone in high school and someone in college or the real world, and I would wonder why a 19 year old would want to be with someone so young regardless of the maturity levels involved. Before you ever get intimate with someone you should have a serious talk to share things such as CAH. Nothing should ever be sprung on someone out of the blue no matter how accepting they are of you because as people we need to be prepared for things. If you say that you are considering marriage before you have sex, make sure that you are doing it because you want to share that with one person, and not as an excuse to not have to get intimate because you are afraid of what someone will think.
