re: Should I discuss my condition with my boyfriend before we get intimate ? Mar. 4th, 2006 9:04pm
Hi Megan,
I'm 23 and have classical CAH. I had a lot of concerns about explaining CAH and genital differences before I had sex for the first time. I was definitely afraid of what my boyfriend would think and imagined that it would be a very difficult conversation to have. It ended up being much easier than I thought it would be and he was incredibly cool with it. If you decide to have sex with your boyfriend and tell him about the differences first, hopefully he will be supportive.
I just wanted you to know that you aren't alone and that I think most women with CAH have to deal with this at one time or another. I hope you feel good about your decision, whatever you choose.
