I hope you find peace in your decision making and your path to help your child become more in tune with her body. None of this is easy and we always worry about if we are making the right choice. One NEVER truly KNOWS until we get feedback from our own child. I had surgery on my Granddaughter at 13 months and can only hope and pray that this decision will make her life and sexual experiences as full as possible for her. I don't regret making this decision and would do it over again in a minute....... BUT this is only what worked for my family. The worry of them having a fulfilling sex life and good self image will be with us for a life time. SURGERY OR NOT ! This is so much deeper than just reducing and changing body structure. The key is to give a child the most positive self image of themselves as you can. Enforce the fact that love comes from the mind and heart and soul and anything after that is just icing on the cake. We can't worry about the future of our childrens path...we can only lay the stepping stones to the foundation!
Good Luck and let us know how you and your daughter do.
