My son was born with SWCAH, he is now 15 yrs old.He was born 5 weeks premi. He looked a very sick baby. We took him to doctor after doctor trying to find out what was wrong with him. Finally we found a doctor who sent us straight to the Childrens Hospital at Camperdown. It was heartbreaking and frightening to find out he had CAH. But we dealt with it. You have to I guess, you have no choice! As you are aware.
4 years later we decided to have another baby. I was aware of the problems that may occur, especially if I had a girl. But we spoke to our Endo and she made us feel very comfortable. She explained about the medication - dexomethosone, and about having to have a CVS. I took the medication and had the CVS done at 10 weeks. I was pregnant with a baby girl. Luckily she was did not have CAH.I had a great pregnancy. I had a beautiful healthy baby girl, She is now 10yrs old, and has no problems.
I suppose everyone is different, and thinks different. But I just wanted you to know that it is possible to have another child without CAH
