If I actually believed the person was incapable of doing different, I wouldn't have. When people write that way, it is by choice, and it is an inconsiderate choice in that it forces the reader to spend time trying to decipher what they have written. It's as inconsiderate as if someone screamed at you when they talked, or used obscene language.
