In no way am I saying that it is your fault that eg. hirsutism occurs. It is the fault of the condition we have....and as I said "what other girls/women have to contend with this" (apart from perhaps people with PCOS or Cushings).
However among CAH people there is a reasonably broad presentation of symptoms depending on the severity of their mutations (and I use hirsutism as just an example!) Some will have hirsutism no matter how vigilant they are with their meds. Some may even develop hirsutism because their steroid replacement level is too high (iatrogenic Cushings). Others may not have previously had a major problem with hirsutism but those females who at some stage become non-compliant with their meds for a time, often develop some level of hirsutism as a result of out of control androgens….and this is not easy to reverse.
I guess I used this example just to show the type of pitfalls along the way with CAH. Even though treatment modes may have improved for this current generation of CAH females and they may look stunningly tall and slinky (lol) if they don’t watch it…..and if they rebel and become non-compliant with their meds they too will encounter some of these same symptoms, as they are part and parcel of androgen excess.
