does virilization limit positions? Aug. 8th, 2006 2:59pm
As a parent of a daughter who has not had surgery, I worry for her. I believe the advice given to someone who is prader 4 is different than someone who is prader 2. If I allow my daughter to grow up without any reduction, will she be able to use the missionary position? This is assuming she grows up heterosexual and I know that is not the only position. When a clitoris acts penis like during arousal it seems to me there could be some difficulties. Does this seem ridiculous I would be asking this question? Maybe, but isn't the reason you avoid clitoroplasty because you want your daughter as a young women to enjoy her sex life? This question can only be answered by women who had the choice of surgery left to them and became sexually active. I wonder what degree of virilization the women who answered my post on" clitoris increasing in size with age "were. I hope my daughter could meet a man that would accept her for who she is. But I always wonder why women choose the surgery if it is left to them. Don't tell me every guy who saw them was "horified".There has to be other reasons they chose surgery. Getting to the point, is position and function one of them?
p.s. in case you didn't know, my daughter is prader 3
