Hi My two cents,
I had the surgery that Mark is interesting in finding out about for his wife when I was 21.
He wrote in his first post about that sex was difficult for her due to vaginal stenosis narrowing of the vaginal canal.
I told him what doctors to ask for about the surgery to open up a canal for someone that as CAH or other wise.
Not everyone born with a narrow vaginal canal has CAH and this isn't and uncommon procedure.
I also told him that I Blue Cross Blue Shield whenI had this surgery done and no trouble with insurance as he was worried about this and I told him in my last post that http://caresfoundation.org has people that are a resourse that are in the postion to help him with explaination to insurance companies and a good source for doctors if that is what his wife wanted.
I provided him with the info he asked for and also mentioned since it seemed that there is no sex life in this marriage and that is what the man is interested in developing- i told him that sometimes based on prior experience from years ago and from talking with other people with CAH that having a supportive lover/husband in bed that can really understand this part does make all the difference in the world ....it did for me I mentioned how the neck nibble does make me forget about everything in the past and how it seems from the posts that he is up to putting in the effort to help her and married or not some people wouldn't? I never meet anyone likethat because men wantto be with who they make love or sleep with and will do anything to make it better and hence his post. I mentioned how it does feel for some people- I was one that sex is like a genitals exams but that can be over come with help from him to give support and show that with time it will get better becauae it did for me and others. I love sex and love love both are great and I hope that one day he'll be able to have that with his wife because of his support and understanding to build her confidence up like I had the opportunity to.
My surgeries did turn out the way they were supposed to had surgery asa child for the passage of period blood and as sometimes happens the area does narrow and that is what he is asking about vaginal stenosis for a narrow canal that the second surgery @ 21 did take care of for me 15 years ago. So i don't understand why you would gather any of my surgeries didn't turn out and he asked for information from people that actually had this surgery (the one for vaginal stenosis) done which I did and he also asked about insurance matter which I told him. What have you offered? Read his very last post.
I hope everything does work out here and marriage is a beautiful union for people that are reading for it which it seems like these to are based on seven years of being together.
My sex life is great even after cancer/rad/chemo. Relationships are going well and dating a 26 year old ..(smile) I'm 36.Marriage for me? err not ready yet but have had offers and I just don't feel it's my time but have had two offers. For me personally I made a promise to myself to develpoe as my own person before I would ever put another persons ring on my finger and that is just my personal view. I feel sad that someone is married and this subject wasn't brought up earlier for them because if you read Marks last post then you would get it.
Mark if you see this one? use the links that I gave you and those people will help if your wife does want the surgery for vaginal stenosis. It's just a two day procedure and that was back in 1991. This is something that can get better.
two cents - the man is asking for help to find surgery for his wife for a narrow canal and don't see where you would assume this didn't go well for me since I've offered ways to help with insurance and medical professionals to contact for Mark and his Wife - if that is what she wants.
All the best and as you might tell sex but love really is so special and worth it so there for all my posts Plus I like to write and support people with information they need that could help them and that is why I gave the links and brought up the insurance and if MARK EVEN READS THIS I do remember that the surgery was covered but had to pay $700.00 out of pocket for part of the anesthesia.
