Oh crap,
I need to take a course on communication. In my analogy I was trying to make Aime feel I welcomed her responses, she is the neighbor giving the warning and the rapist is the sometimes well intended medical community. Cherry, I have offended you before and I think my questions and inability to feel settled on a decision is trying on people. I think the reason I used rapist is because growing up enduring excessive genital exams and poking and prying realy mimics child sexual abuse. I think that's why I am struggling so bad here. I feel the need to protect my child from anything that would give her the same psychological results as abuse. Sometimes I see Aime is ignored when she gives her view. We just want to focus on the positive. I think surgery is much better today, but let's not forget what can happen with an inexperienced surgeon. Yes i have heard the stories of good outcomes and I think I am just now feeling surgery can work. I was just looking for Aime's help on the psychological part regarding my child being a preteen and needing some sort of surgery. I apologize, Cherry, and I hope you see my intention differently now. Most of all Aime, I hope you saw my analogy as it was intended. Thanks Diana for your help. Cherry is spunky and I pitty anyone that dares to mess with her.
