re: re: RE: Limitations OF CAH
Nov. 4th, 2006   5:32pm
hey there, I'm 19 and have SWCAH and have had it since I was born. I have a minor case, but I have NEVER been limited because of CAH. The only thing that I've ever had go wrong (besides the initial crisis at 2 weeks into my life) was a few months ago when I was switched from Cortef to Prednisone and it didn't work for 2 weeks and I had a minor crisis in which I had to get rehydrated again and deal with the dehydration (from the salt wasted). I'm not sure if this helps, but I've played hockey and lacrosse all my life without any limitations, I've just been sure to carry meds (pills or injected) JUST IN CASE of an emergency or a stressful time in which I needed stress doses. Just thought I'd share my little story to give you some insight.
Sam
