Hi, I'm 36 years old and I have CAH (diagnosed as an infant). I am a salt waster and I take prednisone and florinef as you probably also do. I got pregnant at 21, despite the fact that I had been told I could never conceive. I had a healthy baby girl who does not have CAH. I also have a 3 year old boy who is healthy and free of the disease as well. It was difficult for me to conceive but I did, twice, and I have never had a miscarriage or any problems during my pregnancies, in fact I was probably at my healthiest during my pregnancies. Good luck to you, keep trying and if you want to know what the odds are of your baby being born with CAH I suggest some genetic counselling just to educate you and your husband...the odds are slim and once it was explained to me by a genetic specialist I felt much more at ease as did my husband.
If you have any more questions please feel free to e-mail me at shannie_22@hotmail.com.
Good luck and take lots of calcium during your pregnancy.....
