I am sorry you feel you have let your daughter down, but take comfort in knowing you did the best you could for her. My daughter, who is now nine, had surgery when she was a baby, and I too had regrets and concerns. I felt "beat up" by others who accused me of putting my own insecurities ahead of the health of my own child, MY OWN CHILD! I have learned to understand that parenting is about making choices. We will not always make the right decision, but as long we have the best interest of our children in mind, I feel God will control the rest. The most rewarding things in life are also the most difficult.
Danny,
Lisa said in her post on the main board her daughter was seen changing into her swimsuit by another child her age. She certainly did not intend for her daughter's privacy to be infringed upon. We all have different ideas about what is best for our children. I know you home school your kids, which is great for you. Myself, being a public educator, choose a different path for my family. Each family, situation, and child is different. It isn't exactly fair to say Lisa didn't take all steps necessary in dealing with her daughter's viralization.
