I speak from experience when I say that my parents chose for me to have surgery when I was very young and I don't blame them at all. To be honest, I'm happier that I don't remember much of it. I don't consider myself to be lacking in any 'sensation' in that department and haven't had any problems other than having to have my vagina opened out when I was about 13. A kid thinking that they're different at such a young age can't have a great effect on them. My opinion is that CAH girls should have the operation when they're still young enough to not remember it. Surgical techniques are so much better than they used to be too, I don't think there's anything to worry about for her. Let her have the surgery if she wants it, at least then it will be out of the way and out of her mind.
