re: Sex drive in SWCAH Female... DHEA Supplements?
May. 26th, 2007   4:18am

My story is a little complicated, but to make a LONG story short... I use to have an abnormally high sex drive, and now I have basically none at all. Also, it is usually painful when I do have sex and I end up with UTI's after (even after urinating EVERYTIME after sex). So for me... its not something that I just look forward to.. but I am married and now its an important part of marriage. Anyways.... because my testosterone and DHEA levels were so low, my endo suggested trying a DHEA supplement... about 25mg/day. You can get it at any vitamin store.. I have yet to try it, but I am planning on it next week. He also said, not only will it help with my sex drive, but it will help with muscle tone and being able to lose weight and just give me a little "boost" of energy. We'll see what happens. Has anyone else tried DHEA supplements?
