We also traveled to Indiana for Dr. Richard Rink to perform the surgery needed. We live in Arizona and the CAH birth rate isn't high enough for our doctors to have the expertise.
"Peri" my daughter was 9 months old at the time of the surgery, which was just over a year ago. Her virilization was a 4.5 out of 5 on the prader scale. Surgery lasted almost 9 hours. She was in the hospital a total of 5 days. The day after the surgery she was already bouncing back!
Dr. Rink and his staff were the best. We were treated wonderfully. We were affectionately referred to as the "family from Phoenix".
