re: Has anyone opted out of Growth Hormone / Aromatase Inhibitors? Aug. 1st, 2007 7:20pm
Hi Hope,
I was originally told I had LOCAH by two endos, but found out from Dr New that I didn't and in reality have Cushings. I happened to stop by these boards again tonight and after seeing your post, I had to reply. I don't know what Aromatase Inhibitors are, but I can tell you that if your son has a Growth Hormone deficiency you should treat him! I found out on top of the Cushings that my body is barely making any GH (I'm in my 20s), and I take daily injections to replace it. Please, become educated on this vital hormone because a deficiency leads to an early death and must be treated. Every human needs this hormone no matter what age! It regualtes blood pressure, cholesterol, and will cause issues with your heart, severe exhaustion, and socialization problems if you have a deficiency. If your endo is not educated about the hormone PLEASE find one who is and understands how important it is to have it. You might want to reach out to the Magic Foundation for more help. It's not about correcting stature, it's about fixing a hormone that has the power to regulate most of the systems in your body and staying in good health.
