Heather

I do not remember Dr. Cain from when we were there in Indianapolis. We did see several of Dr. Rink's associates and residents.  We were please with everyone.  If Dr. Rink is involved with your daughter I would rest assure she is in good hands.

Our daughter was also a 4.5 on the Prader scale of 1-5 (with  5 being the worst).  Her surgery lasted just short of 10 hours. There was a lot of internal work that had to be done, in addition to the cosmetic work on the outside.

Recovery went really fast for us, the day after Peri wanted to sit up and move.  Mostly she was just uncomfortable since her legs are wrapped like a mermaid.  She spent 5 days in the hospital, then 2 extra days at the Ronald McDonald house.   Once we got home (back to Az) I took another week off from work.... then she was good as new.   Still some swelling ~ but my sitter was able to deal with it.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. You can contact me directly if you like.   cjsilentheart@cox.net

Good Luck to you and your family.   I'll keep you in my prayers.
