I also have 17 OH deficiency. Was born a girl as outward appearances would show. But at a year old developed 2 hernias, 1 with emergency surgery and the other they took me to children's in Madison Wisconsin. Had exploratory surgery and found out I had 2 small testes, so they removed them at the time or in a later operation. Which means I also have XY chromosomes. They also found no uterus or ovaries. Although, I look like a girl and always have felt like a girl, and have the outer parts of a girl.

I was reading online that hernias are common to 17 OH. I was diagnosed in 6th grade. I am 41. We do have 2 children/TWINS. A boy and girl who were born through Invitro. using my husbands sperm and an anonymous egg donor, with my sister-in-law who carried them. We were truly blessed with 2 beautiful, smart kids who are in the top of there class right now. 10 yrs old/4th grade.

If I can be of any help with fertility questions, I be happy to answer any you have.

We live in Washington state, orginally from Wisconsin.

kathy
