How old is your daughter? One of my daughters has had a vaginoplasty and the other is due one. We were told that the oldest will need to be examined again at about 10 to ensure that she can menstruate. As far as I understand neither should need surgery to enlarge the vagina for intercourse until they are adults and ready for this. I believe that this should be whenever they are ready to start a physical relationship because they would need to use dilators afterwards to ensure that the vagina remains open enough. My daughters have not had any surgery so far, cosmetic or medical. Perhaps you could check whether the surgery for your daughter is needed now for medical reasons or if you could choose to have it later.
