sorry for delay in responding, don't check board every day.  my understanding is that because your daughter's vagina and urinary tract are fused she needs this operation.  that is why they do a vaginoplasty to check.  just make sure that you know exactly what they are doing and are happy with that.  my eldest daughter's were not fused so surgery was not needed.  hope all goes well
