I just have to say that after my daughter surgery - she is now 16 - none of these things ever happened to her.  NEVER! She had the first surgery when she was 3 months, the 2nd when she was 2. I never left her side once back in her hospital room or doctors exam room.
I am sorry this happened to you, but not eveyone is treated this way.
