I know this subject is part of why this board came to be. My daughter had surgery within a couple weeks of birth in the early 80's. I struggle to this day with the guilt of it. Am I the only mother who feels this way? My daughter does not hate me for the surgery. She wishes the surgery would have been successful. But I feel guilty and I have felt so alone. Was my daughter just one of the very rare children that had bad surgery?
