The surgeon takes care of what is different and all is well in the suburbs It's ok really.... a child's external genital that isn't the norm is tramatic to most parents ...the suburbs where it is all so cookie cutters.
I had the surgeon check close to puberty as well and no tween should have to go through that either. The man wore a blue tie with gold poka dots and so wanted to see his man made canal in that yellow romm .....here slide down on my finger..... what a thing for an 11 year old to endure and though shall do no harm is BS but though shall shut up isn't as I'm the good Doctor and we protect you ...your parents got you the best and you are atthe best medical center
Checking for what.... huh? that his man made idea is in working order for what HUMMMM things that other people aren't concerned with until there 20's is what the man is checking us for.
Externally we must fit and I don't blame someon like you and the surgeon make externally what is comfortable to someone such as yourself.
What i was born with wasn't sliced away until I was five and I liked how I was born but can't exist like that in the burbs.
My post isn't directly to you and we understand that how we are born externally are tramatic - It's good the fine surgeon can externally fix that becuase it is to much for the suv driving burbs type but someone on a global level is different. If your feeling get hurt then please don't read the contro board. I've had nurses and doctors tell me how the mothers feel better after their child goes thru reconstructive surgery ..it's a relief to them as now the baby looks like what they expect. Nobody expects anything different.
My mind was wired to what was sliced away but nobody asked me and later on the ped endo in tears would try and bluff me .... my experience this would of cause infection but really that was BS AND don't slice away and slice me into something I'm not because you people did a scope and found a big uterus. He broke down and stated I never should of been changed and this was just all about little girls can't look like that and if we keep quiet then this person will accept it.
I think that there are different reading levels here and you don't understand my posts in this thread. Never once did I write that parents don't want there children but rather they are traumatized about they way we are born as this has been told to me time and again by Doctors and Nurses. One nurse went as far to tell me that ambiguous genital look weird or one might say don't fit in suburbian America. Then here comes the surgeon that will externally fix it instead of letting us just be. I went to preschool the way I was born and the sky didn't fall in. I was happy according to psyche reports but the experts kept telling my parents the surgery needed to be done as little girls don't have puppy dog tails - I cared less about gender but was a happy soul until forced into what I wasn't. Medicine has since apologized which is comforting to a small degree.
The students will learn from other children whose parents believe in the greater good and those experiences will help CAH advance as well.
I don't expect you to understand where I'm coming from either or BA's post either.
