surgery check before puberty (question from Main Board)
Feb. 22nd, 2008   4:49pm
Sorry, I didn't make myself clear but when I said about the exam before puberty begins, I actually meant putting her to sleep to do it. I wouldn't dream of letting her be examined without being put to sleep - too traumatic.  With regards to any type of stimulation to check feeling, I just wondered if there was something that could indicate feeling while she was under anaesthesia, NOT while she was awake!  I know there are machines to check babies hearing so was just wondering if they had something that could indicate feeling.  It scares me when I read about peoples lack of feelings after surgery so was just wondering if there was any way of checking if everything is well.
