re: re: re: surgery check before puberty (question from Main Board)
Feb. 26th, 2008   8:35am

Again, talk with your daughter's urologist. My daughter's doctor feels it very important to check her vaginal opening, as she is showing the beginning stages of puberty. Her vaginal opening hasn't been checked since infancy, and she will be asleep for the procedure. The docotrs explained to me that forced blood flow or clots from her period coming through an opening, which is too narrow, could cause damage. To me, not taking the steps to make sure that doesn't happen to her would be the most unethical thing I could do. Trust your judgement and the advice of the doctors. Use all other things as only information to think about. Good luck!
