I would really, really like for you to show me where I have ever devalued what you have shared with everyone on this board. I am very careful to begin my posts with appreciation for those who do share their very personal stories in a continuation to better the treatment of CAH.
I think it important, however, to make the pleas you are making with correct information. I simply find it dangerous to tell a parent having their daughter examined is ethically wrong. While maybe true in YOUR case, wouldn't you hate to scare a parent away from a needed procedure or examination only to have something bad (and I personally feel there are worse things than a trained professional looking at my vagina) happen to that little girl?
I only wanted to make sure people understood your story, and the stories of all other posters here, are certainly something to learn from, but to not make medical choices based on those pleas. It just wouldn't make sense to do that as medicine does change. I would also argue that there are questions being raised against parents who choose surgery, just as questions are raised about the posts of CAH adults. I don't feel there is an attack of you or any one group. Just a reminder to consider all things.
