I'm a 22 yr old female with CAH. I have been well controlled & never had any problems. I had all the surgeries when i was only a few months old & i guess i'm satisfied with the results. My only problem is i have really small breasts. I am only a 30AA. my breasts never really developed at all. I'm 5'2 & weigh 115lbs. All my weight is in the lower half of my body making me look really unproportional. i look like a 12 yr old boy up there. i know breasts size isn't anything but i don't feel less feminine & lack some self confidence b/c of it. i have trouble finding bras, clothes & swimsuits because i dont' fill out the top. my fraternal twin sister is D cup & my mom is a C. (neither have CAH). All the women on both sides of my family have at least a B cup but i'm the only one with CAH. I figured that since that all the women in my family have normal sized breasts & i don't that it must be because CAH or the medication. obviously, since I have CAH getting implants wouldn't be the best idea incase there is infection or something goes wrong. i don't think its worth the risk. Is this a common problem with CAH patients who have been controlled so well. Has anyone else with CAH been told its because of the medication or the disease itself? Are there any hormone pills that would make them grow & not interact with my CAH medication?
