re: Mom never told me about surgery. Has this happened to anyone else?
Mar. 9th, 2008   11:36pm

One thing i have learned from this site there is a lot of people who would rather sweep CAH under the rug and forget about it but as a mum with two SWCAH daughters thats just not possible one of my girls who is 9yrs had surgery when she was 15mths old and i refused to let them operate on her clitorus i just thought she would grow into it which she has and we have not hid from her the fact that she has had surgery, i thought about this one for a little while and decided she needed to know as she grows whats happened so its not a big surprise, after reading your posting i relize im doing the right thing, its vital that parents talk with thier children about these things its educating them thats all, im sorry your parents didnt tell you about it "what was there reaction like when you told them you found out about your surgery" i mean this is your body what else have they not told you.
