re: Small Breasts & surgery Mar. 16th, 2008 3:01pm
Truth, With the hysterectomy... we're talking abdominal surgery....a lot of cutting... and a month to six weeks off work (I opted for a month). When I was in the hospital they had these cuff things on my lower legs (about drove me crazy) that filled with air about every 15 seconds or so... those were to prevent blood clots. They got me up and moving the next day.
The worst part really was weaning off the steroids. I had three days of triple my dose - three days of double my dose (which went into five days) and then another several days weaning back to normal. They had to give me Ambien to sleep... the steroids kept me awake. That stuff was a lifesaver!
I did have small breasts too - in fact I was thinking of how my dad used to make fun of me and call me "double A mosquito bites" ...What a _astard he was. This was all before I knew I had CAH. I had signs from early childhood - prococious puberty starting at about age 6 (but no periods) , tons of hair, a sex drive that wouldn't quit, anxiety. I was finally diagnosed and put on meds at age 19. When I had my daughter at age 27 my breasts grew. Currently I'm between a B and a C. I'm happy with the size - I just wish they were symetrical and not so droopy.
