I have Simple- Virilizing CAH and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
In another life-time, I was a job coach for people with physical and/or mental challenges. Everyone had SSI to on degree or another but it really isn't all that it is cracked up to be. There were given enough just not to get by ...pretty much the same as their job coach.
Have you ever considered looking into vocational apprentership programs? It's where for example you go to school one night a week and you are pretty much given a paying job w/ a company while you learn the skills of the career.
