The first post had nothing to do with the medical term intersex and words such as female pseudo hermaphrodite and adrenal genital syndrome are two terms that aren't used anymore. I will provide current links of the term intersex and like I posted here that I don't find the term needed to define CAH as a whole because only a small percentage born with CAH would even fix the definition.

I'm me or Anon 2just like you. I don't use the word as it wasn't in my medical records but medical people use the word and it is current. If would be fine if CAH was the only thing used and reference to those of us born with external abiguious genital would be describe in those terms.

Again, the medical community will follow terms that the people with the condition feel are needed btu that comes with for example a topic on the subject in medical journals. Please talk with Kelly at www.caresfoundation for more info about this subject.

I could care less about the words as I want to be put back externally to how I was born.  It is Ok that you can't answer my post.

I've spoken to the surgeon that did a clitorectomy, urthroplasty, and a vaginoplasty  on me  not so long ago and his letter back used tyhe term intersex in reference to externally how I was born.  Ok, they don't use the words around parents or those thart done understand it's a medcial description of an area hence the reason that  I also believe that it would be fine for it to be tossed but is this word tossed out? sorry but it isn't. Does this term fix 98% of people with CAH ? no it doesn't.
