My daughter had surgery with Dix Poppas in Sept at 6 months of age. It was excruciating to go through as a parent of a young one. It's June 4th, so I'm assuming you've been in to see him and his staff likely several times .... that said, you know what a wonderful personal/surgeon he is. He has a top notch crew and you could not have found a better set of hands to take care of your dd. He is the "top guy" in the US.
If your spouse is planning on staying in the city you should look into housing at Cornell for a couple of nights. You'll likely be home in three days.
Not sure where you live but there's a CAH family event this weekend on the Island. I'm happy to talk to you there if you'd like to come.
