re: Are there other teens boys (any one)
Apr. 11th, 2002   2:29am

My son is not yet a teen, is 11, but does have CAH. He plays football and traveling soccer and goes to sleepovers, etc. I just have the shot ready in case, and always can be reached by phone or cell phone in case of emergency. Except for a few trips to the ER for iv's after repeated vomiting from the flu theings have gone fine. Did have to have his endo verify to him that we (mom & dad) didn't "give this to him" from doing anything wrong. Had no problems going thru puberty before his peers and they are thankfully starting to get zits too now so he is a seasoned pro for them on that issue, but I know he is concerned about what his adult height will be as his CAH was caught late and his bone age was already quite advanced.

Mike, do you have any info or advice for him on what may be to come in the teen years? I'm sorry you are feeling alone, but you are not! Hang in there! Maybe you & my son could chat too.      Tonya
