re: re: cah and life!!!!
Apr. 21st, 2004   11:16am

thanx for writing back!! iv tried speaking to people in the past but they just put it down to being a teenager even though i know that it isnt. it is much more than that. all my life i have had family problems. my mum kicked me out two years ago because i couldnt get on with her and my stepdad and now my dad doesnt want me just because of a minor argument we had recently. i have also lost my little step brother 3 months ago, he was a stillborn, but i am having to deal with all that on my own, aswell as concentrate and revise for exams and deal with cah.

the doctors have not exactly told me that it is neccessary to have this op in so many words, but from the way they and my dad talk it appears that it is. that doesnt worry me, it just annoys me that they dont tell me straight, after all, i am nearly 16 and able to understand these issues very clearly.

suicide is a very scary thing. i attempted it whilst living with my mum because i was very unhappy, but i never ever thought that it would cross my mind again, after i came to live with my dad. this is because my dad is the one person that has always been there for me and never turned against me, but now he has changed. i tried to tell him that i feel left out by him and my stepmum but none of them would accept it.

so it seems im back to squarre one really. feeling unhappy but having to deal with everything on my own.

has cah dramatically affected your life or do you just carry on as normal, as though you havent got it, and has it ever interfered with boyfriends and relationships and even having children. it is these questions that i keep asking myself as i do not know anybody else with cah. sorry if they are too personnal questions, but i cant answer them myself so i need someone to answer them for me.

write back! thanks!        Natalie
