Mom looking for info.
Oct. 8th, 2004   2:54pm

I accidentally posted this as a reply to someone else's post...I'm so sorry. I am new here & goofed up with the posting procedure

Hi,

my 14 yr.old daughter just had a CT Scan of her abdomen/pelvis this morning.

They said they were looking at her adrenal glands, kidneys, ovaries & anyhting else that may tell them something.

She is 14 yrs.old, she started her period 2 years ago & has only had 3 periods since then. She has hirsutism(sp?), alopecia, dull stomach aches, acne, mood swings (beyond normal for a teen). Her pediatrician finally referred us to a pediatric gynecologist & we had alot of blood work done & an ultrasound.

The ultrasound looks "pretty normal" they won't expand on that anymore

her labs are high though

DHEA-S 640

17 OHP They just said it was very high

& Prolactin they said was very high

I don't know what any of this means...I'm scared to death it is some kind of adrenal tumor.

They did more blood work this morning: a BHCG Quant Marker, PRL, & another 17 OHP...the lab tech said these were "tumor markers".

Sorry I spilled my whole story, I don't know where to go for info.

Thanks, Mary Caye
