Hi

I'm 47 and have had CAH all my life. When I was born (1957) the medical technology wasn't around and also doctors were Gods who didn't talk about things. If they said something then you obeyed. Yes I had surgery - the radical one. Yes I do suffer fom depression - have tried to kill my self several times. Things are a lot better now that I'm on anti depressants. Yes I still live with my mother. Things these days are quite okay but for a while things were very rocky especially when I was suffering from undiagnosed depression. Yes I've been over supressed over many years. I'm short - not quite 5 feet tall and very overweight - over 15 stone (100 kg). No I don't have any children. No I haven't had a relationship with a male or female. My self esteem is really quite low however my faith in God has also carried me through. I have done a lot of studies over the years. I'm now a childrens nurse where I can be myself and the children enjoy having me around.

If any of you want to write to me please feel free to. Please put in the subject line CAH.

Hope this helps. From a CAH survivor.

Fiona
