How are things going? It sounds like you are going through a pretty tough time right now. I can only imagine with all of the pressures teenagers already face today you have all of these other added changes. By the way I am a 24 year old male with SWCAH, so I have been through some of the things you have. I have noticed one thing. The less medication I take, the more emotional I am, mostly because when not taking an adequate amount of medication my testostrone level would be much higher than normal increasing my emotions. I have always been somewhat emotional. I also had problems with weight. At times when I was receiving too much medication my weight would increase no matter what it was that I was eating. It sucks gaining a ton of weight, it happened to me 2 years ago when my doctor increased my medication way beyond the level I needed. Now you talk about a weight loss. With my experiene when my medication is dropped my weight drops with little exercise as well. The biggest problem with the lack of medication is that it is great that you are losing weight, but without enough medication my skin always breaks out and my emotions run high due to the high testosrone levels. Tasha, I really feel like these are extremely normal issues. I think it is important to find a very qualified doctor to help you, with my experience I would say that you just need a doctor who can balance your medication levels better. It sounds like they had you on too much medication and now you are on too little. Look on the bright side. I went through a lot of the same stuff and it's tough, but I know you will be ok. Stay positive and things will work out. I have had the chance to travel all over the country, play almost every sport, go to a major university, and have a ton of great friends and family even after going through a lot of the same stuff you have been through. the key is finding the best doctor you can. These all seem to be obvious signs to me.
