I'm not sure if the chloe your talking about was me but i wrote about surgery too in the main board, probably was me...But answering your questions i was born 8lbs and i was pretty small when i was little til the age of 6 where they got my medication wrong and i put on some weight. The height issue...When i was around 7 i shot up taller than most girls in my year bar about 2.Til i was around 11 i was the the 2nd tallest in my year, then quite suddenly everyone else grew and i became middle to the smaller size scale of the year. Now being 14 i'm 5ft 3 which i like because i'm not the tallest or the smallest and same with my weight. The physical issue...I started pubity quite early around 8 although now talking to people in my year some of them started their periods etc at 7 so that isn't really a big issue, i developed in the breast area quite slowly through the ages of 11- 13 but when i started my periods at 14....instead of moaning about being flat chested i was saying the opposite. So physically it worked at pretty much normally and it will do if they keep the steriods level for your daughter.I have to say when i was a baby m mum said i started talking normally like a year after my brother did(he doesn't have cah) but i did run before i walked...literally at the age of 8 months so i was on my feet early. My older brother who is 18 still doesn't really know what my condition is about but boys aren't really interested to be honest so i can't help you with your older daughter sorry. My parent didn't exactly tell me about my condition i worked it out for myself with the tablets doctors blood tests body changes etc...So you could tell her when she understands. When i was younger i thought i was odd and why 'god' gave ME this condition but this site helped me especially a lady putting a special poem which made me smile i hope this site helps you alot because it helped me so much and that's why i'm so glad to help people....i've written alot sorry!!
if you need any help just ask=) Hope it all goes well just tell her if shes ever down she's special and normal! Enjoy life instead of worrying about cah and comparing yourself to others=) chloe xxxx
