Hi! My name is Jennifer. I have a 10 year old step-son named Trever. He almost died when he was born (according to his dad) because he has the salt-wasting form of CAH. When i met his dad, I tried to research a bit about CAH. He is a fun-loving but shy boy who feels very slone because no one in his school has CAH. He really could use someone to talk to about this. I worry about him alot...he has gone through alot. (it is my opinion that his mom hasn't always been on top of this condition and his meds.) Trever has gone thru the "false puberty" at age 5 when I met him, and also at least 2 more times since. He is pretty tall but very overweight. I feel bad for him and am not sure what to do to help him. we try to get exercise with him, and kinda monitor his food but whatever happens at our house, gets "undone" at his mom's house. He goes thru the "blues" and seems depressed. Because I am his "step-mom", I feel like he thinks he can't reach out to me, but I want to help. I know this is for kids so....Trever's e-mail address is: redtwister1995@yahoo.com Please, if you have anything to share or just want to talk to a great kid with CAH and maybe help encourage him, Please email him. Thank you for your time and God Bless you all!!!!
