Looking for friends
Dec. 13th, 2006   12:17pm

Hi, my name is Brittany.

I am 22 year old college student studying social work.  I don't have CAH but I have an idea that I am hoping to start in hospitals and I would like to know how people that have been in the hospital for a while feel about it, especially kids.  My idea is simple.  I'm trying to bring kids of all ages,11-20, into hospitals to talk and socialize with the patients that are around the same age.  My volunteers would come in once a week and bring video games, magazines, etc., and there conversational skills to just talk and hang out with the patients.  This is purely a who ever wants it can have it and who ever doesn't want to be bothered, wont be.  But I am wondering how some of you would feel if it was offered to you.  Is this a program you think you would be interested in?

I would greatly appreciate any questions, comments, concerns, anything.  I really just want to know patients opinions.  Thank you for your help.

Brittany
