Stephy,

I'm not a kid, so forgive me for entering this thread.

I think it is well worth you having blood tests done, to either eliminate or confirm CAH or any other hormonal disturbance. Just to give you a heads up on what tests the doctor should perform, they are:

Baseline cortisol,

17-hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP) and

17-hydroxypregnenolone (17-OHPreg),

Testosterone (very important),

Androstenedione

DHEA-s. I think I have covered the main ones for CAH.

It's also good to do what is called an ACTH stimulation test where they give you a boost of ACTH by injection (IV or IM) and then test all of these same things again AFTER they give you the injection.
