re: Question for all - adding younger people on chat programs
Jun. 6th, 2007   2:02am

Hi...

I am 18, I have a 'collection' of people/email addresses who have CAH...most of them are younger, some are older....but I think it is important that we have this oportunity to share our experiences and knowledge with people who may be going through the same thing.

I am pretty sure that some parents don't know their kids are talking to other people with CAH. I'm pretty sure that parent's don't know alot about 'who their kids are talking too'....but if there is a possibility that I am going to make a difference in someone elses life because I know what they are on about, then I am always up for that challenge.

My email address has been floating around here for a while. I get Kids, young people and even parent's of children with CAH contacting me, or just chatting because we share a certain bond. We share an experience that most people wouldn't even dare to believe...

I will admit though....the internet is very overwhelming...and when I first started sharing my experience of CAH with other people, I had to think of where my head was at - at their age...More specifically, I have been scared that I would let things 'slip' to girls that were 8 about some stuff...I knew virtually the whole package from age 7 (surgery and the whole bonanza) but I understand (from the questions that some parents have asked me) that alot of girls don't find out until alot later... So there has always been that idea in the back of my mind whenever I talk to others...

Keep smiling

Annalise
