Hi, I found the web site; glad to hear there is support out there with others going through the struggles with having CAH. Our 11 year old daughter was diagnosed with CAH (3B HSD) at the age of 4. 3B HSB is rare in itself and poses additional concerns. She was growing exceedingly tall and very quickily. She's been on medication for several years now and the most stuggle she has is weight gain. Keeping her active in sports and a daily exercise regiment is very critical to controlling weight gain. Her Dr. in Germany warned us about controlling the intake of carbohydrates - which has proven to be very much the culprit in weight gain. The onset of mensus is only a short time coming and now the concern is if that will pose additional problems with irregularity and, as she grows into adulthood, what are the chances for conception. Have there been any studies following individuals with CAH into their adulthood?
